Data collection



With the Voxelgrid Space Runner, users can scan buildings independently, room by room. The integrated LiDAR sensors emit 620,000 points per second, generating a precise point cloud of each room in real time. The live display ensures full control and accuracy during every scan.The software interface adapts to individual preferences, allowing users to validate the captured data on-site and minimize errors from the very beginning.

Predefined attributes such as floor coverings, window glazing, or existing fire protection devices are automatically identified and displayed during the process.All data is stored securely within our proprietary software and automatically assigned to the correct room. Faces are anonymized automatically, and furnished rooms are processed seamlessly as the system recognizes and maps existing objects. This ensures an efficient, non-intrusive scanning experience and delivers a complete digital representation of the property in record time.

Data preparation



Voxelgrid ensures maximum data security by processing all data on secure servers in Munich, fully compliant with EU data protection standards. Access is restricted to authorized personnel within the EU, guaranteeing the highest level of privacy. The integrated AI-driven algorithms automatically filter and structure the collected data for precise and efficient analysis. They recognize walls, windows, and doors to generate accurate floor plans in real time.

For exterior scans, the AI identifies facade dimensions and materials and generates automated quantity lists, a reliable basis for tasks such as energy assessments or building planning.All captured data is seamlessly converted into a 2D CAD plan through our proprietary Voxel Trinity software. Custom room attributes, such as smoke detectors, radiators, or floor coverings are automatically linked to the point cloud. The AI assigns polylines to the correct room structures and labels each room in the CAD plan. This high degree of automation ensures minimal errors and provides a robust foundation for the next processing steps.

Data modeling and quality assurance



Voxelgrid’s Voxel Trinity software suite provides a fully automated workflow from raw point cloud data to structured digital models. Different modules handle key tasks: C2.1 generates accurate 2D floor plan proposals, C3.1 performs precise facade recognition, and C4.1 creates detailed 3D models directly from the captured point clouds.Because the entire process, from data capture to model generation is highly automated, manual errors are minimized, and processing times are drastically reduced.

All data passes through automated quality checks to ensure precision at every step. Before finalization, the system supports integrated feedback loops, allowing users to review, comment, and make adjustments to guarantee optimal results.

The automated pipeline delivers CAD plans in .dwg or .dxf and BIM models in .ifc or .rvt formats, complete with detailed views, sections, and site plans. This structured output forms a reliable foundation for subsequent tasks such as planning, coordination, and execution — ensuring efficiency, scalability, and consistent quality across all projects.



It's simple: Via standard CAD/BIM formats (.dwg, .dxf, .ifc, .rvt) and structured attribute exports (e.g., CSV). APIs enable direct integration into common CAFM/ERP workflows.

How fast is Voxelgrid?



Reference example: At the University of Hamburg (Bergedorf) main building, two operators scanned approx. 60,000 m² across 870 rooms in four days using the Voxelgrid system.Actual throughput depends on building layout, accessibility, and required detail — and scales with parallel devices/operators.

What components does the Voxelgrid patent include?



Application of hyperspectral analysis in combination with:

- location determination (indoor or outdoor)
- a database for the unambiguous identification of materials and their quantities and masses

What happens if building users are not present?



In cases where certain areas are not accessible, our AI has the capability to reconstruct unrecorded rooms by inferring information from the surrounding surfaces.
